This is a static web site generated by Hugo, its backend serves only static content. At the same time we know that this page has been viewed times.
How do we know? Simple: app.countina.io [↪] records each visit. It is a view/hit counter with focus on displaying views back.
Static sites are great: they survive high loads, virtually unhackable and still flexible.
However, they are, well, static: they struggle with recording and displaying back dynamic content, for instance, number of page vies. Here Countina.io comes in.
It is a visits counter with an option to display information back to the users.
It is not a replacement for a complex web-analytics system. It will show how many times and when a particular page has been viewed, but not by whom or how that visitor got to the page. There are specialized instruments to analyze intricate details of visitors behavior.
Countina.io is built on the following principles:
We do not track users in any way. There is a plan to add cookies, but only to give resource manager more options on how to record views – users will stay anonymous.
We do not keep anything you do not need, especially personal data. You cannot expose information you do not have. The only information recorded about a visit is its time and url.
Your data is yours. At any moment you can export all data that is stored on the web-site.
